You can add Mormons to the list of groups the Stanford Band has managed to offend as Stanford Athletic Director Ted Leland issued an apology to Brigham Young University for the band's behavior during the halftime show at last Saturday's game. For some reason, people thought doing a 'salute' to polygamy at a game played against a school named after one of the prophets of the Church of the Latter-Day Saints featuring five dancers decked out in bridal veils was in poor taste. Oh, when will the Stanford band learn how to march in unison, play boring show tunes, and salute things like 'the Dairy Farmer in America' like every other marching band?
