LA Dodgers: Bryan Stow Partially Responsible for Attack
Citing his blood alcohol level at the time of the attack, an attorney for the Los Angeles Dodgers plans to partially blame Bryan Stow for the brutal attacked that left him in a coma on opening day of 2011. LA Times reports: "Jerome Jackson [attorney for the Dodgers] told The Times his statements were purely in reference to how a civil jury might break down responsibility for the beating during the Dodgers' home opener in March. He cited a magazine article that said Stow had alcohol in his system when he was admitted to the hospital."
Bryan Stow Beating Suspects Plead Not Guilty
Louie Sanchez, 28, and Marvin Norwood, 30, the two men accused of beating Giants fan Bryan Stow at the Dodgers opening game on March 30, pled not guilty to mayhem, assault, battery and other counts in the attacking Stow. "Police have portrayed Sanchez as leading the assault on Stow, which came March 31 at the culmination of an alleged rampage in which Sanchez and Norwood are accused of lashing out randomly at rival Giants fans at the stadium," notes KTVU.
Man Attacked in the Outer Mission for Wearing Wrong Shirt
A group of men attacked a fellow bar patron at a bar on the 5700 block of Mission Street for apparently sporting the wrong kind of fashion. "The 31-year-old victim was pulled outside of the bar by five suspects who apparently did not like his shirt," reports SF Appeal. "The suspects beat the man and also took his cellphone and cash before fleeing."
'Young, Hip-Hop Looking Kids" Beat Castro Resident During Pink Saturday
Castro resident Sean Ray, 42, was on his way home after taking part in the Pink Saturday festivities, June 25, when he found a gaggle of youths on his apartment steps. After a minor verbal dustup between the two parties, Ray was reportedly beaten and kicked by the ragtag group.
SOMA Thief Beats Victim Using Baseball Bat
Well, this is horrendous: A 32-year-old man was robbed of his watch by a hooligan using a baseball bat as a weapon. While walking near the intersection of Fourth and Bryant on Wednesday, near Hotel Utah, the victim was hit on the head by the bat-wielding assailant. While crumbled on the ground, the attacker then reached down and removed the man's watch. The incident happened at around 10:40 p.m.
LAPD Details Bryan Stow Attack, Other Suspects Still At Large

Following Sunday morning's arrest of Giovanni Ramirez, the prime suspect in the Bryan Stow Dodger Stadium beating investigation, the Los Angeles Police Department have provided details about the attack and at least one suspect who remains at large.
Transgender Youth Assaulted Near 16th and Mission, Rally Planned for Tonight [Update: Rally Moved to 16th and Mission]
A 20-year-old transgendered woman who says she came to San Francisco hoping "there would be more safety than [she] found," fell victim to a publicly witnessed hate crime that occurred on a busy Friday night near the 16th and Mission BART Plaza. According to KTVU the woman, who asked to be identified as Mia, says she was attacked by two men who verbally harassed her, grabbed her smartphone and then brutally beat her. One witness says she heard the two men saying things like "Oh, I hate men dressed up as women" before the violent attack that sent Mia to the hospital to be treated for cuts and bruises. At least one other witness trailed the two suspects, helping SFPD make a swift arrest.
Bounty for Assailants Who Attacked Giants Fan increased to $50,000
The reward for information leading to the arrest of two Dodger fans who severely beat Giants fan and Santa Cruz resident Bryan Stow went up to $50,000 today when both the Giants and the Dodgers, as well as Stow's employer, pledged hefty contributions to the pot. According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, execs from the Giants organization brought Stow a signed team jersey at the USC Medical Center where he is still in a medically-induced coma and pledged an additional $10,000 reward for information in the assault. A spokesman for the Dodgers said his team will add another $25,000 to the bounty, and Stow's employer in Santa Cruz pitched in another $5,000 on top of the LA County Supervisor's $10,000 reward.
$10,000 Reward Offered In Search of Men Who Beat Giants Fan
After Thursday's opening game at Dodger Stadium, a Giants fan was brutally beaten by Dogders fan in the parking lot, a $10,000 reward has been offered by LA County Supervisor Mike Antonovich for any information leading to an arrest. The victim has been identified as Bryan Stow, 42, a Santa Cruz paramedic and father of two. Stow was struck with fists on the back of the head and fell and hit his head on the ground, according to the San Jose Mercury News. The attackers, wearing Dodgers clothing at the time of the attack, then "kicked Stow and ran to a four-door sedan driven by a woman with a boy in the vehicle."
Dodgers Fans Beat, Kick, Critically Injure Giants Fan
After last night's opening game in Los Angeles, LAPD are looking for two men who beat and seriously injured a Giants fan in the Dodger Stadium parking lot. "Sgt. Sanford Rosenberg said Friday that two men in Dodgers clothing followed three men in Giants gear as they walked to their car after Thursday night's 2-1 Dodger victory," Associated Press reports. "Rosenberg says the attackers yelled slurs against the Giants and began kicking and punching the men. One victim suffered a head injury and was hospitalized in critical but stable condition."
Alleged Hate Crime Beatings Might Be Linked To National White Supremacist Group
Three alleged white supremacists, Robert Allen, 38, Anthony Weston, 32, and Justin Meskan, 29, were arraigned yesterday in connection with a suspected hate crime attack on two Mexican nationals outside an O'Farrell Street bar in the Tenderloin in November. The three assailants, along with two others who are still at large, reportedly yelled "white power" and other racial slurs as they allegedly punched and kicked one victim in the face until he blacked out. They then attacked the second victim when he tried to help.
Man Beaten By Large Group at Redwood City Caltrain
Security has been "amplified" at the Redwood City Caltrain station after a man was brutal beaten by a group of people on Friday night. "Between nine and 15 suspects attacked a 47-year-old San Jose man in an attempt to rob him at about 7:30 p.m.," reports KTVU. "The man, who was waiting for a southbound train, was beaten and left on the ground after the attack. No weapons were seen during the scuffle." A fight at Candlestick Park yesterday ended with one victim stabbed and another beaten. "Arriving crews found one man stabbed in the lower part of his body, and another man with a swollen eye and lacerations to his face, reports KTVU. "Both victims are in their 30s."
Man Beaten Near 6th and Mission
On Monday morning, a 25-year-old man was brutally beaten near the city's notorious Sixth and Mission intersection. "One of the suspects brandished a chrome revolver, a non-firing replica, and demanded the victim's cell phone.," BCN (via SF Appeal) reports. "The victim refused. Both suspects proceeded to punch and kick the victim." Wanted dead or alive, Vallejo teens attacked and robbed a city worker yesterday afternoon. Police said, according to CBS 5, "the incident happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 600 block of Nebraska Street near Vallejo High School as the employee was returning the backhoe to the city's corporation yard."
Oakland Woman's Attack Circulates On Internet
After Oakland female rapper Mina Mack was beaten in the doorway of an Oakland recording studio on Monday night, according to CBS 5, "a friend told her that video of the punching and kicking was posted on the Internet via YouTube and then circulated over Twitter." Two women and two men jumped the Mack as she was leaving the studio.
Actor Brutally Beaten On Muni
Earlier this week, according to SF Chron, 18-year-old Christopher Borgzinner, an actor who plays a "thug" in the up coming film La Mission , was brutally beaten while riding the 9-San Bruno to acting class. It seems Borgzinner was mugged and attacked because he was wearing the wrong kind of shoes.
Oakland Salon Beating Case: Misdemeanor Charges?!
Cavenia Bryant and Jamillya Edgerton, the two waste-of-space human beings who videotaped themselves brutally attacking an Oakland hair salon owner, then bragged about it on-air to radio station KMEL -- were in court today. It seems the victim, according to ABC 7's Dan Noyes, "is questioning why the Alameda County District Attorney's office has decided to file only misdemeanor battery and false imprisonment charges against suspects." The ladies, awe we use that term loosely, should have seen some sort of felony assault charges.
Shoe Bandit Severely Beaten In Dolores Park
The fine folks over at Mission Mission have some news -- gritty, impoverished and exciting news, that is. It seems an alleged methhead with leg tattoos and a penchant for ladies footwear tried stealing a pair shoes from a gaggle of chatty cathys in Dolores Park over the weekend. This did not go well. While we typically roll our eyes at comments and opinions that call for the death of people who do stupid things, this is one case we might consider. You see, two ladies who took turns beating Oakland resident Melissa Seals last month called KMEL to brag about it. After taking turns brutally beating Seals at her Oakland salon and videotaping the entire thing, because Seals' ex-boyfriend allegedly asked them to do so, the two mental giants went on-air and had the following conversation. Online Date Leads to Violence
Three Hayward residents (of course) are sitting in jail facing attempted murder charges after kidnapping and beating a man they met online. The 22-year-old unidentified victim, a San Jose man, had "gone to a Hayward motel to meet a woman after responding to a social networking Web site." (Which site? Who knows. Since they don't flat out mention Craigslist, which MSM loves to do, we're going to call it out as onlinebootycall.com.) According to CBS 5, "When the man arrived at the motel, police say he was beaten by the three suspects. The three then allegedly used the victim's ATM card to get cash, drove him to the Bethany Reservoir and beat him some more. " He was fond the next morning by a fisherman. The three suspects are 28-year-old Rodolfo Aguilar, 32-year-old Salim Ahmed and 20-year-old Lydia Troche. See, this is why online sex hookups just don't work in the heterosexual community. Alas. Update: the online site in question, according to the SJ Merc, was mocospace.com.
Beating Death Arrests
Two men were arrested in this week's savage beating death of Richard Weiland over at San Francisco's least favorite intersection, Turk and Taylor. Robert Hannah, 57, and Michael Cooper, 44, were nabbed by cops near the scene of the crime after witnesses ID's the two. Taylor Buckley, 18, of San Carlos was initially arrested for aggravated assault on Giraudo. He posted bail, but soon after Giraudo died, he was later re-arrested on suspicion of murder.
