Video: A Robot Served Ice Cream At Bi-Rite Creamery

I don't know what the point of this was, but some robot nerds were nerding out over a pair of robot arms attached to a mannequin that were scooping and serving free ice cream outside Bi-Rite Creamery no 18th Street Saturday. Mr. Eric Sir was there to capture the action, and, he explains, the things isn't exactly great at its job. "For now though this device not only requires a human operator, but also requires the recipient of the dessert to carefully move their bowl as the ice cream drops out of the serving spoon."

There was a whole tent setup and lots of gadgetry being manipulated, and it's unclear how or why Bi-Rite Creamery got involved in all this. There's no mention of this "event" on their Facebook page.
