Another Poke Place Just Opened, This One On Russian Hill

The poke trend shows no signs of slowing, and yet another raw-fish emporium has just debuted called Ahipoki, on Polk Street between Broadway and Vallejo. As Hoodline reports via a tipster, Ahipoki takes over the former DavidsTea space at 2123 Polk, and poke bowls start at $8.95.

Ahipoki is actually a chain with 10 other locations in Southern California and Arizona, so they just skirted having to go through a conditional review process, given that SF's formula retail rules kick in at 11 locations.

And Ahikpoi joins a slew of new poke spots, including Poki Bowl inside of Mission sushi spot V16, Poki Time in the Sunset, and I'a Poke on Church Street.

A good time to check out Ahipoki would be Friday, April 21, since they're doing a grand-opening event and everything on the menu will be half price.

Ahipoki - 2123 Polk Street between Broadway and Vallejo - Open daily 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
