The esteemed Dominique Crenn, chef and owner of Michelin Two-Star Atelier Crenn, has announced the opening date of sequel establishment Petit Crenn: August 11th.

If you recall, Crenn snagged the former Bar Jules space in Hayes valley this past April thanks to her relationship with that restaurant. Quite soon, it's a space where you'll find a casual, all-day café. Expect Stumptown coffee plus a breakfast and lunch full of pastries and omelettes.

The centerpiece, though, will be a 5 course seafood-focused prix-fixe dinner. That, we're told, clocks in at $72 with the service included, or as the french say, compris.

In the evenings, Crenn hopes to cultivate a dinner party atmosphere with two seatings, one at 6 p.m. and the other at 8:30 p.m. And at a ten seat bar, wine Director Courtney Humiston will keep customers happy with wine, champagne, and, in the Breton mode, a variety of French and local ciders. For kicks, those are to be served in traditional hand-made ceramic cups, made especially by Issa Pottery in Sausalito.
