See and be seen at these select San Francisco shows, parties, and events. You know, because you can't read the Internet all the time.

TUESDAY, JUNE 9

OUTDOOR JAZZ PARTY: It's the 33rd Annual San Francisco Jazz Festival Kickoff with free outdoor performances by Brass Magic and Gaucho plus a screening of a classic jazz film all in the Proxy area of Hayes Valley, that shipping container compound that includes Smitten Ice Cream and Ritual Coffee. You'll also find food trucks galore and beer from Fort Point Brewery. Corner of Hayes & Octavia Streets, 5 p.m., Free

CHEESE SCHOOL: Tuition ain't cheap at Cheese School, a lovely Mission spot with outdoor seating and classes of all sorts. But the evening comes with food and wine, so try to eat and drink your money's worth if that's how you justify things. Tonight's lesson is on the the Savoie region which produces cheeses like Beaufort and equally enjoyable regional wines. 2124 Folsom Street, 6:30 p.m., $69

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 10

SATURDAY, JUNE 13

FESTIVAL: Now in its 61st year, The North Beach Festival is considered one of the country's original outdoor Festivals. Go for over 125 arts and crafts booths, 20 gourmet food booths, two stages of live entertainment, Italian street painting, beverage gardens, kid’s chalk art area and the classic blessing of the animals at The National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi. That part's at 2 p.m., and the festival continues on Sunday. North Beach District, 10 a.m., Free

Regular ol' food trucks will do you fine. It's all happening at SoMa StrEat Food Park. 481 11th Street, 10:30 a.m., $20

SUNDAY, JUNE 14

PLAY PREVIEW: Catch a preview performance of Love and Information from A.C.T at the new Strand Theater. STERN GROVE: Kick off this summer's Stern Grove festival, the 78th ever, with the Doobie Brothers. It should be a pretty crowded show, as it's free, but hey: Doobie Brothers. Sigmund Stern Grove, 2 p.m., Free
