Though the Bay Area is probably one of the country's hubs (outside Utah) for multi-partner, polyamorous relationships, you don't hear too much about throuples who actually get married. Enter the triad who call themselves the Phoenix-Stein family, which actually began as a lesbian relationship between Melinda and Dani Phoenix, who became domestic partners in 2010. As SFGate's Mommy Files tells us, they brought Jonathan Stein into the fold in 2011, and the three got married last summer in a non-legally-recognized ceremony. Stein impregnated both women, and Melinda and Dani each gave birth, one month apart, last fall, so the throuple is now raising two infants, Oliver and Ella Lynn, under one Oakland roof.

They actually only recently moved to Oakland from Healdsburg in order to shorten the two women's commutes, as both are in school currently.

They've now made the video above, and the one below, as part of a mini-documentary series and website that they raised money for on Kickstarter. The goal, they say, is to "share our belief that love can take whatever form it needs to in order to create a fulfilling and happy life for those involved."
