The San Francisco Film Critics Circle Awards were on Sunday, and the big prizes of the night went to two movies likely to capture a bunch of Oscar nominations as well: Boyhood, and Birdman.

As SFGate notes, the SF Film Critics Circle is "comprised of more than 30 local newspaper critics, bloggers, editors, and broadcasters," including Chronicle critics Mick LaSalle and Peter Hartlaub and editor Leba Hertz.

The awards were announced as part of the SFFCC's meeting at the Variety Club Preview Room. You can see the winners below, and see all the nominees here.

Best Picture: Boyhood

Best Director: Richard Linklater, Boyhood

Best Actor: Michael Keaton, Birdman

Best Actress: Julianne Moore, Still Alice

Best Supporting Actor: Edward Norton, Birdman

Best Supporting Actress: Patricia Arquette, Boyhood

Best Original Screenplay: Birdman

Best Adapted Screenplay: Inherent Vice

Best Cinematography: Ida

Best Production Design: The Grand Budapest Hotel

Best Film Editing: Boyhood

Best Animated Feature: The Lego Movie

Best Foreign Language Film: Ida

Best Documentary: Citizen Four

Marlon Riggs award for courage & vision in the Bay Area film community: Joel Shephard

Special citation for under-appreciated independent cinema: “The One I Love”
