The brigade of ridesharing services looks to drive on unabated as Lyft, of neon-pink mustache fame, received a $60 million cash infusion from venture firms led by Andreessen Horowitz LLC (yes, you read that right: it's $60,000,000). That kind of dough could buy you a lot of smirking car mustaches.

Lyft is looking to double its staff by the end of the year and expand past the four cities where it currently operates (that's San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago), but so far it's keeping mum about where it will incorporate new drivers.

Operating as it does in a legal grey area, Lyft is now the most funded alternative ride service, compared to the $10 million raised by SideCar and the nearly $50 million by Uber.
