Over near Mason and Filbert, a water main erupted causing all sorts of havoc. Two blocks on Filbert were without water for a few hours this morning before being restored. The water department doesn't know why the main broke. Old and in need of replacement is our guess.
The water main break also temporarily halted cable car service. CBS 5 report below:
