Beloved local musician DJ Shadow, famous especially for his instrumental electronica and dreamy hip-hop pieces from the '90s, got kicked out of the DJ booth at a trendy Miami Beach nightclub because, as he put it, what he was spinning was "too future" for the crowd.

The management of Mansion that night decided to cut his set short because he wasn't spinning anything commercial enough, they said. Shadow proceeded to tweet about the incident and post the mix online, inspiring the ire of his loyal fan base.

The set, a version of the "All Basses Covered" mixes he's been doing since last summer, is 90 minutes long and features a fairly downtempo mix of stuff that a nightclub audience would, admittedly, have some trouble dancing to.
