Not only are they already rolling out the Christmas shit at Walgreen's, but signs of the impending holidays continue with the openings of the Union Square and Embarcadero ice rinks this a.m. And just in time for the cold gray weather we're enjoying!
The Union Square rink, officially the Safeway Holiday Ice Rink, will now be open daily from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. through January 21, weather permitting. Sessions start on every other even hour (10, 12, 2, etc.) and last 90 minutes, and tickets are ten bucks with five bucks extra for skate rental.
The Embarcadero ice rink, at Justin Herman Plaza, is open from Sunday to Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and weekends from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m., with 90-minute sessions starting on every other even hour.
Try as you might to avoid our nation's most expensive holiday season, you will most likely fail unless you leave the country. So suck it up.
