Oakland City Council backs off plan for wholesale pot farms

Apparently spooked by warnings from the Alameda County DA that city officials could face prosecution if they approved permits for possibly-illegal, "industrial-scale pot farms", the Oakland City Council voted 7-1 to put the plan on hold. Which means we might not seeing the Ikea of Weed after all. [InsideBayArea]
