SF Citizen informs us that Game 5 of the World Series will be broadcast live on the jumbotron at Civic Center Plaza on Monday afternoon. Fox has given their official permission for the screening, since it could be a clincher. (It is on!!)

The mayor’s office is hosting the event in collaboration with the Recreation and Park Department, who put together the World Cup screenings over the summer.

The official press release notes that since it is a family-friendly event, alcohol will not be permitted on the premises. So, bring those flasks and brown bags, Y'all. There will be mobile food vendors from Off the Grid on site.

The broadcast starts at 4:30 p.m., and the first pitch is at 4:57 p.m. As SF Citizen notes, it is advisable to get there early to grab a seat.
