The Daily Clog's Sophie Lee recently interviewed Benjamin Smythe, Berkeley street flair, "natural skeptic," and a life coach. Lee describes:
We stopped and chatted with him, overjoyed to discover not another starry-eyed idealist but someone earnestly trying to find happiness and help others to theirs: “I try to go for one smile every day, it keeps the pressure low, and I always do get a smile. Sometimes it really makes someone’s day: I remember the first time I did this, a woman came up to me, crying.”
Smythe has been carrying his famous "You're Perfect" sign on the streets of Berkeley since 2005.
