Every Wednesday for the next two months, 'Day Around the Bay' will be edited by a San Francisco Supervisor. (All of them will get a shot at it, hopefully, depending on their love, or lack thereof, for SFist.)
Kicking things off is District 6 Supervisor Chris Daly, our city's favorite controversial Supe.
Take it away, Chris.

Is Daly referring to "legal immigrant" rights, or the rights of "illegal immigrants?" You know, the ones who broke the law to get here, squat and refuse to become Americans.
seconded...
go back to Fairfield!
j/k, what's your take on Prop. D?
Politics and silly propaganda aside, notice all the the links are pretty mainstream news outlets. For someone who loves to portray himself as an edgy outsider, there are no links to the blogs which have enriched our forlorn lives.
*yawn* Chirs. C'mon girl, get a little more controversial.
Well, to be fair to him, he did basically call Ballard a cro-mag (not exactly telling the local restuarant association to fuck off, but still) and he made reference to his pending move to the browner pastures of Fairfield.
@ Brock: Cool DAB idea!
I like it. And props to Chris for the Fairfield mention.
Will Michaela similarly mention Napa?
Oh, this cute little town...
That said, this is a cool idea and I'll put away the snark bag now.
Chris Daly is sexy! Yay!
90% corporate owned media links. Nice!
I've wondered why the Board of Supervisors decided to amend the sanctuary policy instead of allowing the voters of San Francisco make the decision through a public vote. Is there something to hide? I wonder if the BOS chooses to allow the voters of SF decide on some relevant issues when the BOS feels comfortable that it will get its way, but on issues where the BOS is not so confident it takes away the right of the voters to make the decision. I'm not taking a position on the Sanctuary Policy, but I do wish that as a voter in SF, I could have had the opportunity to vote.
The building CPMC is planning to demolish is a regular hotel, not a senior residence or an SRO...

I don't support the hospital project myself, but no one's getting evicted because of the project.
The plan also calls for the demolition of 7 additional buildings across the street from the hotel for the construction of the CPMC Medical Office Building. Those other 7 buidlings do include some housing units among other things. So you're wrong, people will be evicted if they are living in those units, as will businesses already operating in those structures.
