Taking a cue from American Idol, team Newsom is having a contest where you, the voter, get to decide which logo will represent Gavin Newsom's crapshoot for Governor of California.
Part of Newsom Campaign Manager Nick Clemons' over-excited press release reads:
Our campaign is about creating a new direction for California and bringing much needed reforms to Sacramento. We want to highlight this in our logo, too.How you campaign says a lot about how you will govern, once elected. So we’re going to do things differently. Usually, the process of deciding on a campaign logo is a big, guarded secret. Well, not this time.
We put together a group of six different logos on our website and your vote will determine the official Gavin Newsom campaign logo.
That said, please pick the red one. It is, for lack of a better word, dramatic -- very red China, Manchurian Candidate. That, and the other ones are ugly, clinical, and blue-ish. (Newsom needs to get away from blue, the preferred color for politicians.)

I like the first choice with the (yes) red, white & blue.
Pick whichever one you think is ugliest. That way His Hairness will have a worse logo, leading to fewer votes, therefore leading to EPIC LULZ all around.

well, they're just going to use whatever one they've decided on already. this is just to gauge perception, a survey if you will. like, if most people vote for the red one, that means he is perceived as on the right. if they pick the green one, yadda yadda. it's not like he's actually going to run with a red logo, lol.
Voting with a fake email works, in case anyone else doesn't want to get lots of emails from Gavin's email czar.

You can type whatever you want in the e-mail field. I used gavinsucks@fucknewsom.com and it still counted my vote.
Gavin logo voting protip: You can vote multiple times by using a slightly different "e-mail address." Apparently they don't track IPs. I gave the red one 10 votes or so using variations on Xenu's suggested e-mail.

When he named his daughter, he forgot in what state he's running for Governor. Now, in picking his color, he forgot of what party he's a member (Democrats are blue, remember?). Is Gavin secretly running to be the Republican Governor of Montana?
