Bomb Squad at Post & Kearny

bomb_l.jpg

This just in: "Bomb squad at 135 Post near Kearny now, evacuation in order."

But: it appears no bomb was found. Alas. Also, MTA spokesperson Judson True tells SF Appeal "that service on the 30 Stockton, 45 Union and 9X Bayshore Express has been disrupted in the Post/Kearny area since 1:02."

We'll update as soon as we know more.

Update: Two bomb scares; no bombs. Pft. Also, and most jarring of all, police and firefighters also evacuated Gump's at 135 Post Street. Can you imagine a San Francisco with no Gump's? Horrifying.

actually post & grant, above the north face store. there are also helicopters now.

also, last night the building across the street and many more in the area had break-ins. all in all, an exciting day on this block.

Must be Bomb Threat Tuesday. Bomb squad was posted up at Polk and McAllister at 11:45am. False alarm.

It was just an underground PG&E transformer.

We work next door and heard there was a suspicious package placed in a newspaper box outside of Charles Schwab so the cops had to bring in the robot to check it out.
