According to Associated Press, "a publicist for Patrick Swayze says the Dirty Dancing actor has died." He succumbed to pancreatic cancer. He was 57.
Named the "Sexiest Man Alive" in 1991 by People Magazine, Swayze was best known for his work in the aforementioned ode to dancing in the Catskills, Ghost, and Point Break.
He also crooned "She's Like the Wind" for Dirty Dancing, now a KOIT Radio classic.

A memorial viewing of Roadhouse is in order.
A giant portable screen with some sort of DVD carousel needs to be set up at the bottom of a gradual hill so that we can all bask in the glory that is Swazye.
If it doesn't happen, someone will put Baby in the corner.
My most favorite of Mr. Swayze's roles was that of Miss Vida Boheme in To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar.
May Patrick be enjoying his own Strawberry Social in the sky. He shall be missed...
PS: "Sam Wheat?!?!?"
I was thinking Ghost or even Donnie Darko. But now that you mention it, To Wong Foo has both of those beat.
Awesome as the sleaze Cunningham in DD. He had fun with that role. In the storyboard Kelly wrote, he kills himself after being found out as a perv.
Maybe he will come back as Oda Mae
Did anyone see The View this morning? Whoopi did seem to be talking a little like Swayze...
