Video: Surprise Curve on New Bay Bridge Bypass

Sarah Phelan of the Bay Guardian captured some great footage of the newly opened Bay Bridge this morning. You can see the new, surprise curve that folks have been talking about today at around 40 seconds into the video (just after the 35 MPH sign). Phelan mentions that there will probably be quite a bit of rubber-necking at that point of the bridge for a while. So, remember to take it slow!

interesting vid, but blasting alice was very very unnecessary.

Wow, if only you could turn down the volume on your computer!

Even that's not necessary.

I know that I'm never going to win the "I'm more eccentric than you" contest, but I actually thought the choreography of that particular tune, the transition between the verses, was well timed with the video. But then, maybe I've been watching too many Call of Duty 5 videos on YouTube.

Surprise? Every story I read about the closure mentioned the new curves and the 40 mph limit in that section.

Are those the new tie rods to the "saddle" at :23?
