NBC's somewhat anticipated fall drama series "Trauma" filmed a presumably nail-biting scene in Duboce Park yesterday, one that involved a helicopter landing (!) and Halloween decorations (!!).
I saw the Halloween decorations on some houses before I stumbled upon any film crews and I was temporarily confused. Fortunately, I soon saw a bunch of actors in costumes which helped me make sense of it all.
Not to be all curmudgeony and stuff but thanks to the "Trauma" filming, parking was officially IMPOSSIBLE throughout the Duboce Triangle/Lower Haight area all of Thursday since about 90% of the roads were off limits... Sheesh...
The thing about a show like "Trauma" is that for it to keep going there has to be horrific accidents like, every week or there's no show. I wonder if after seeing this people will thing SF is a magnet for mayhem and disaster and be too scared to go to Dog Poo Park.
She's Apollo from BSG's sister in real life and was on Damages which I liked so I'm holding out a little hope (for no particularly good reasons obviously)
I think this helicopter was in front of the botanical garden the other day. It's on removable wheels and has no propellers. I don't think that helicopter has done any flying lately.

Pucker up, buttercup. Ride a bike!
The film crews were blocking The Wiggle last night.
It was a little scary to see giant trucks trying to navigate the Wiggle during rush hour.
I ride a bike to work every day... The catch is that I need a place to park my car in order to do it.
i wonder if any dog shit made it on camera.
As awful as this show could (will?) be, I'll be watching. A lot of local folks have been gainfully employed from this shit-show.

Meh. I don't think Chicago's tourism industry has been particularly weakened by ER. And if Law & Order is any guide, Manhattan would be empty.
Oh I figure as much. Still, the ads make it look interesting. That blonde woman they have running to save someone is kinda hot too.

no kidding! well if that's the case, no wonder, the parents must both be actor model types or something...
holy shit that is the lamest replicate sfpd logo.
My house was one of the ones decorated for Halloween. It was rad, but getting around the neighborhood (on foot, even) was a bit of a pain yesterday.
Though I am looking forward to yelling "Hey, that's my house!" when it appears on screen for all of two seconds.

It was fun, the crew was really nice, they gave my little girl some halloween cookies
