Remember when former Senator Carole Migden went on a drunk driving spree on I-80, minus the alcohol? Well, the state of California will pay out $335,00 in settlement riches to a victim of her "erratic driving." If you recall, back in May 2007, "State Sen. Carole Migden bounced her state-issued SUV off the concrete median on Interstate 80 and nearly ran other motorists off the freeway before slamming into the back of another vehicle last week, the California Highway Patrol and witnesses said Tuesday." Paring this vehicular incident with her massive mound of blond hair, Migden has forever been cemented in our hearts as a crazy-ass, awesome dame.
Anyway, SF Weekly has word that "last month the state signed off on a $335,000 settlement with [Ellen] Butawan," a 31-year-old Vallejo lady who had the pleasure of being rear-ended by la Midgen.

As a Schwarzenegger appointee to the Waste Management Board, Migden also gets a $132,178 tribute. While some may question her being a GOP appointee or getting six figures for attending some meetings, who can really question the fact Carole Migden is an expect at managing waste?

Yes, $132,178 a year for a board that has little known accountability ... I think we have something similar in San Francisco called San Francisco Public Utilities Commission.
Let's hope the voters in Potrero Hill, Dogpatch, Hunters Point, and Bayview (am I missing anyone) choose someone besides Ms. Migden IF she runs for District 10 Supervisor as rumored in 2010.
