There was a huge turnout tonight at both the City Hall and Yerba Buena rallies, and then a large chunk of people branched off toward the Castro. Stop8.org's Twitter feed informs us that a guy from the ACLU gave a rousing speech at City Hall about never giving up, and Mark Leno inspired the crowd about equal protection at Yerba Buena. Then a flatbed truck turned up with a speaker who got everyone riled up in party mode during the march.
