Gavin's not stupid - he got all this money from his DailyKos announcement. Out of state people who only know him from the same-sex marriage issue, who are trained to give til it hurts.
Agree. The only people I know who beamed at this announcement are gays who live in Southern California. It makes sense- Gav's "better" than the Governator when it comes to same sex marriage, but that's about all he has going for him

I don't think it's acceptable form to have your sock puppets signing your DailyKos Diary comments.
Save your money. don't get me wrong I like him he parties, has a history of doing drugs (so SAN FRANCISCO) , he sleeps with his friends wife, he supports gay weddings,same sex marriage and there legal footing, he looks good , married a sweet piece of ass owns some good restaurants and bars. Has to battle the nuts on the Board all year. As well as the extreme liberal left .... not to mention a murder rate in SF per capita more than cities 4 x SF size.... But remember the state is more than the wierdos in SF (as I am one too) SF represents a small part of a huge state.
Good luck Mr Newsom , however SF is as far as you might go, hey weirder things have happened in SF, wait is that the GRATEFUL DEAD reunion tour?
