Quake Quack Predicts 6.0 Temblor in L.A.
A particularly vigilant YouTuber by the name of Luke Thomas has been posting semi-weekly earthquake prediction forecasts for the San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego areas for a couple of years. As far as we understand it, the field of seismic forecasting falls somewhere between astrology and phrenology in terms of solid proof, but in case you have the tendency to write off Libras and Geminis like we sometimes do, you may want to listen up.
Luke's methods differ slightly from this guy's--Luke relies on thermal temperature changes and animal behavior, and is quite possibly schizophrenic--and while fascinating, he allows for too much leeway in proving "accuracy" to ever know how off he is. He can probably call himself 90% accurate every week even if there's only a tiny tremor 200 miles from where he said it could be.
But yes, if you're going to be in L.A. this weekend and you enjoy crackpot predictions, don't hang out in any houses perched on cliffs on Sunday.
