This is now officially a Prop 8 website.

I'm bored. Good bye.

Pittsburgher (PA) here. Even though my city's name is misspelled, I will be at the protest! :)

And I'm coming out there for a week over New Years ... CAN'T WAIT!

P.S. SFist doesn't bore me!

@missiondweller don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

I'll be representing in Raleigh, NC tomorrow!

since when is HOUSTON so important? large font = important.

ill be at City Hall in SF.

Lincoln Statue on Polk (near Grove), 10am.

Do other people like tag clouds? Because I've never liked them.

Regardless, it will be a great event, I think.

I can't decide on which sign to use tomorrow - "Free Mumia" or "No Blood for Oil." Any suggestions?

TAYM, What about "Which way to Bakersfield?"

yeah. i put fresno and bakersfield on here. what with all of the preaching-to-the-choir-ness in the comments yesterday, i thought that's what people wanted to read!

Glad to see Des Moines, IA on the map. From what I understand from listening to the Dead Milkmen, there's a big undeground homosexual population in Des Moines. Look at the soil around Des Moines. You can't build on it; you can't grow anything in it. The government says it's due to poor farming. But I know what's really going on. I know it's the queers. They're in it with the aliens. They're building landing strips for gay Martians, I swear to God.

Daithi - "Which Way To Bakersfield" is a great idea. Perhaps you should use that one. Then maybe someone will actually tell you so you'll finally know...

I like you, porkbun, you're not like the other people in the trailer park.

gosh that was sad taym, even by your standards(obviously your hangover has not worn of yet,)

(obviously your hangover has not worn of yet,)

...has not worn OFF yet. Clearly you're still drunk. Late night at Trax, Daithi?

the only thing i don't understand about THIS protest is the timing. should have pushed it up a few hours. not so bad for the east coast, but the only reason i'll be able to attend the SF protest is because i live 4 blocks from city hall. otherwise, i'm not sure i'd be able to wake up that early on a Saturday morning. i always make a point of getting trashed on friday nights due to my m-f workweek. the people in hawaii have it even worse.

Sweet flyer. Thanks for posting this.

Will be there with me boyfriend ...

Brock, nice!

There's a good chance those obama spoof posters will be used at the protest. I printed a couple in color and last I heard they are on their way to clubcard. We'll see.

It's just like NFL Sunday Ticket. You have to get up early for most of the games.

I've never understood that metaphor, "preaching to the choir."

A good preacher will seek converts, but he'll also will spend some time preaching to the choir. After all, the choir’s an important part of the church. You want to keep the church’s most dedicated members — the ones who volunteer for stuff and sing in the choir — engaged with the life of the institution.

A good civil rights movement needs to court moderate voters but also does need to spend time getting “the base” jazzed up since these are the folks who’ll donate money, stuff envelops, make phone calls, etc.

Solidarity building is important.

it reads here that you understand the metaphor very well.

Perhaps what you meant to communicate is that you don't understand why people insist on defaulting to that metaphor because you disagree with it in that it's sometimes a necessary exercise.
