Critical Mass Time Lapse
Last night's Critical Mass looked downright peaceful, at least via this footage shot at the Pilsner.
Was it?

I saw the tail end at Geary and Taylor, and this one driver was going out of his mind. "My baby's in trouble! {pause} Now what?!" Traffic resumed less than two minutes later luckily.
I got caught up in Critical Mass riding my bike - definitely NOT peaceful. Someone at a gas station on Fell had stopped their car and pulled out an expandable tactical baton and things looked like they were about to get ugly.
They should consider actually going this fast. Would make things a lot nicer for the rest of us.
Yeah, there were horses, and a man on fire, and I killed a guy with a trident.
The guy on Fell was way out of line. He hit a biker trying to pull out into the mass, and when people stopped him from driving into more people he pulled out the blackjack and started swinging. I hope the cops came before he got some u-lock justice to the back of the head.
yikes. and who carries an expandable tactical baton with them in their car? scary.
Self defense. If some dude is going to come after you with a u-lock, best be prepared.
Expandable batons are prohibited in California (for civilians). You're better off with a MagLite.
It was cool until I almost got hit by 4 cyclists while walking down the sidewalk on Guerrero.
Almost missed our timed Chihuly tickets but my wife whipped out her tactical San Francisco driving skills and we were the win. It was a big one though. I need a bike.
