It seems there was a protest a Apple Stores in the Bay Area this week. Something or other Apple pissing off South Bay Construction and a carpenter's union, we guess. (Here's another shot at the Valley Fair Apple Store.)
Steve Jobs, what have you done?

"Steve Jobs, what have you done?"
That information is probably under NDA.
Where is the smooth background gradient and the reflection on those rats? This sign is very 1.0.
Unions are lame.
Jesus was a carpenter.
Ergo, Jobs hates Jesus
ha!
Shouldn't that be "scabs"
Unions are self-interested, just like the corporations they negotiate with.
Do you really think we'd enjoy many of the labor laws we currently have in place w/ out the work done by unions?
this same sign, with HYATT instead of APPLE, was out by the Embarcadero Hyatt yesterday
unions were important in the past (to as you point out, create some important labor laws), but they have become too powerful and made many US companies uncompetitive on the world market...a prime example: the auto industry...there's something wrong when Ford has to pay someone $36/hour plus benefits to install a rearview mirror on a $23,000 truck.
How dare they call hipsters "rats"!
I thought the proper term was "scabs" as well. I guess that wouldn't look as good on a banner, though.
I'm in a union.lately the management has tried to bust/kick us out.
all we have ever wanted was respect and working wage (remember this is $an franci$co).the president insists we have a sweet ride.(i pay $1500 @ month in rent).
the president of our company makes $400,000 a year!
and he thinks i'm the problem. whatever?
Yeah unions are so strong that we have to stop them now! Capital is hurting! Look at all the job protections and wage gains we all have from all those strong union campaigns of the last 30 years! Read a book. There's something wrong when it takes an industry 35 years to figure out that small cars are the future.
@jimbobjoe
right. the union is the reason the us economy is about to collapse. doubt it.
what kind of book?
@ jimbobklyn
Sarcasm, friend. We're on the same side. The "unions were good, but now we're so advanced we don't need them" trope is my target here.
