Hyde Street Shooting
A reader sends us info (and several images) on a shooting that occurred early this morning in front of an apartment on Hyde between O"Farrell and Geary streets. Here's all we know so far.
I can't find any reports of this anywhere, but last night/early this morning, a man was shot in the doorway of an apartment on hyde st. between o'farrell and geary streets at 1:30am. There was a single shot, no screeching of tires or anything...so the shooter must have been on foot...then someone was crying and yelling louder and louder so we went to the window and saw a man with a woman over him and people running across the street towards him saying he was shot. I called 911 but I think someone else already had because the cops came within one minute of my call...[t]here is still blood today in the spot where he was shot.
Considering how bloody the aftermath appears in these photos, we're surprised we too couldn't find anuy reports about this in an MSM news sources. If you find any, let us know in the comments.

Aw man the TL was starting to look pretty sweet in comparison to the Mission, too
Crazy how this can happen with no police report. I guess in the Mission it's people that live there; rather than bums/crackheads(if that's what happened).

Especially if it came in Lady-Sizes.
Not too many shootings at the Union St end of Hyde these days, just pizza and ice cream. Apparently crack heads hate steep hills, pizza and ice cream.
For lack of a better plan by the SFPD and Prince Gavin 1st, I propose that the TL just needs more steep hills, pizza and ice cream.
Problem solved.
I would also buy an "SFPD: 'No arrests have been made'" t-shirt.
This is across the street from my old apartment. We moved last November after listening to a gigantic man yelling at police officers because he was assaulted entering the building. He called the police and then waited 45 minutes for a response. He was huge so I figured I didn't have much chance.

It's none of your business if someone got shot. We'll eventuall work it into the official log on some Friday afternoon when you reporter types are all at happy hour. Pay no attention to the dead people on your sidewalk. Move along. Big brother says all is well. Tra la la.
