CBS - which, by the way, Big Brother is most amusing this season, so we highly recommend it - is bringing back Streets of San Francisco. The Tiffany network will remake the
popular '70s crime drama (with the same characters, same urine-stained streets of said city, same old/young main characters), but it will be updated for these our modern, futuristic, space-age times.
So, who should they get to play the main characters, Mike Stone and Steve Keller? (Originally played by Karl Malden and Michael Douglas, respectively.) Also, since it will involve glorious SF, who should play some of the local, er, flavor? We're thinking B.D. Wong for nutbag Frank Chu. But what say you?

If they reuse the original theme song & opening montage, they should be OK.
I like the one where Stone catches some out-of-town crook because the guy claimed to be from SF but called it "Frisco".

These days Stone would catch him because he called it "the" 101.
They'll probably just take old scripts and add some Google references to make them current.
Willie Brown as Mike Stone and Alex Fagan Jr as Steve Keller. It will be just like the original, 20 minutes of scenic shots of SF and 20 minutes of car chases through Potrero Hill - except the new part will include Stone and Keller beating people up for their fajitas.
My best guess is Benjamin McKenzie as Steve Keller. Maybe just rebrand the whole OC cast.
If they actually film it all here, like Quinn Martin did, that'd be great. If not, then meh. But who plays Chris Daly? any suggestions?
(And can we PLEASE get Arnold to do a re make of his infamous guest role where he screams DONT LAFF AT MEEEEE and kills people by mistake in a rage?)
