There will be a colorful and joyous skirmish over at the Human Rights Campaign dinner happening in San Francisco tomorrow n ight. Why? Well, it seems the largest (and allegedly inclusive) "lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) lobbying group and political action committee" has waffled time and time again with transgenders and the federal Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) - "which should include protections for gender identity as well as sexual orientation" - so local groups plan on responding this outside their very exclusive annual gala.
Fruity local queer organizations (some noteworthy, some insane) Pride At Work, Queer Youth Organizing Project, And Castro For All, Harvey Milk LGBT Democratic Club, Trans March, SF Labor Council, Lou Sullivan Society, and FTM International will be holding a festive counter-dinner during the dinner called "The Left OUT Party: A Genderful Gayla," billed as "an alternative to the HRC's annual dinner at the Westin St. Francis." The night will feature a "host of performers and speakers and ... [recognition of] community members and organizations that have demonstrated leadership, accountability, inclusiveness and all-around fabulousness."
While the number of people who will care about this are very few; the event will make said organizations very very very happy. We think it's nice that they're making lemonade by throwing a party of their own, rather than being sourpusses and trying to hold a protest or disruption or something glum. Way to go, trannies, tranny lovers, and decent human beings!

I love that picture of Bambi. She walked by me yesterday, but I was too scared to open my mouth and say anything.
as you should be. miss lake will annihilate.
she almost annihilated me once on the street waiting for a bus. I thought I recognized that photo
It was disturbing enough to make me go to the next block to catch the bus
leave bambi alone! hasn't she suffered enough?!
make no mistake: bambi is fantastic. she suffers for the sins of the vile "well-mannered" gays who have taken over the majority of the creative arts here in sf. she really is a martyr.
god bless her.
...aaaaand Mayor Villaraigosa cancels his speech over HRC's issues.
