Oh oh. Looks like your commute home might be an exciting one filled with delays and packed trains. According to 511, "at 3:10pm, Muni reports all inbound and outbound lines on the underground Metro system are experiencing delays due to the evacuation of the Van Ness Station and police activity. There are no further details at this time." Will update as we know more.

In one of our other posts today, some commenters were claiming that it's possible to trust Muni with all of your commuting needs. I think someone said something like "riding Muni is only miserable if you are."
Argh.
sfmunicentral.com paints a rosier picture of the metro than it did last night. Train died at Castro... took the better part of an hour to catch an outbound train. Wheee.
In other news the sky is blue.
@matty...i saw that same post by the ass-hole claiming that "people who have tons of problems with muni just don't know how to use it effectively.."
i was so furious i couldn't even respond.
A little off topic, but I would like to share my observations. Heres what I have observed from Muni ticket fare inspectors who board the trains to check for proof of fares.
At Powell station where they check your fares at the usual spot at the top of the escalators, a thug looking teenager walks pass them and refuses to show a fare or stop when ordered to show his ticket. The inspector follows him a few feet, stops for a bit looking at him walk away, and turns around to continue fare checking other people.
On the N train recently where two fare inspectors board front and back of the 1st car, a thug looking man caught with no fare yells "She fucking put her hands on me again, Ill beat her ass" as he proceeds to trot down to the front to purchase a fare. The other fare inspector tells him "thank you" repeatedly as he begins to calm down and he is let off the hook. Immediately after, the inspector writes a ticket for a student who remained calm and cooperative the entire time after getting caught.
In case you are wondering what I mean by thug looking, I mean they look like they came out of the projects.
