Photos: Nerd Alert Prompts iPhone 3G Launch Lines

Here are people waiting in line. For a phone. The Jobian gadget went on sale today, and Flickr users joe.moore and Steve Rhodes, and Valleywag's Jackson West managed to snap up a few images. Enjoy. Oh, and if you have the brand-spanking new 3G in your grubby little hands, how is it?

What losers!

Sent from my iPhone

This morning I saw them 50-deep at 7 a.m. at an AT&T store in one of the scuzziest parts of the Mission on Mission Street.

That just struck me as a pretty funny place to line up at dawn to get your incredibly expensive and easily-stolen gadget.

Suckers.

The Drunkometer app is awesome. You have to guide a man down a straight line using the movement sensors. Itsh harder than it looksh.

Let me know when the lines have gone so I don't have to wait around to get mine

Didn't it go on sale at 8:00 AM today? Why would people be camping out last night if it was at midnight?

Good luck if you're planning on getting one today. I hear activation is impossible right now because the servers are a mess.

I am standing in line to get one right now... Its taken forever.

I'm almost there now. I honestly don't think I've ever waited in line this long for something - hopefully its worth it.

@Spencer...

It won't be... WM6, baby, FTW!

There were a couple of people in line at noon THURSDAY. I don't get it.
