and will be done in what, 2020? LA's going to be in arizona bay by that time.
I guess we'll all just have to learn to swim.
stock up on your floaties!
Yes on 1, No on 8!
2020? Ha. Remember, if *now* was Loma Prieta, 1989, the new Bay Bridge would not be completed until 2030.
I'd be surprised if this project even broke ground in my lifetime, or offered a high speed link to somewhere further than Los Banos by 2030.
I don't see why the don't just build both passes. Although if they can extend BART from Pleasanton out to Livermore and Tracy, and then all the way over to wherever the hell the HSR links up to go toward Sacramento, then you wouldn't need to worry about that anyways.
Although BART really should just create an additional purple line to run down 680 and connect Walnut creek to Pleasanton/Dublin to Fremont to San Jose anyways. That would be ideal. I wonder if anyone else has thought of that..
largo01, afaik San Jose is already paying BART tax.
Doesn't mean the line will ever get built though. It's too damn expensive to build BART with all their fancy custom gizmos.
Brock, I adore your verb "evitas".
