Pelosi Hearts Leno

Before entering a voguing competition (we can only assume) to the sounds of Seal at Saturday night's Black & White Ball, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced her endorsement for Assemblyman Mark Leno. Much to no one's surprise.
Poor incumbent Migden. Won't someone please show her some love?!
Anyway, it looks like Leno, for better or for worse, might be voted "most popular" after tomorrow's votes are finally counted. If you recall, this race has, by all reports, "fueled tension in San Francisco's gay community" because--get this!--both Migden and Leno are queer. Zoinks. But we ask you, homosexual readers, have you gotten into slap fights with other gays over this race? Because, really: not so much.

(Shrug) - Ammiano is stepping up to take Leno's termed out place in the Assembly ... zero sum game for the gay count representing San Franciscans.
Yeah, but at least the Brown-Burton political machine is beginning to eat its own.
The "Brown Burton Political Machine" has been over and out for some time now. Time for a new boogeyman, I'd say.
Of course, I hear there's a new wannabe strongman in town who wants to run a top-down dictatorial political movement because he's appointed himself Maximum Leader, but I guess when part of progressive political identity is a victim complex, it's easy to ignore.
Yeah, but that's sort of the point.
Just because the protégés are running the show, doesn't mean the old guard have left the building.
The wannabe strongman I'm referring to is none other than self-appointed Dictator of Progressives, Chris Daly, who lectured Obama supporters about how without him they'd be "lost" and who is now demanding "discipline" from progressives, as in "do as I say , do not question your maxium leader, me me me" which I thought was kinda antithetical to the alleged values of "progressives."
"Do it my way or go F*CK yourself" doesn't sound much different than the go go 90s, but whatever. I used to really respect Daly for his views and thought he was a good guy, but when he ripped me a new one verbally for daring to suggest he wasn't perfect, then after we talked on email and I thought we had an understanding, decided to slander me in ways that would make a sailor blush to anyone who would listen. That's when I was done with Daly's central command bs.
The problem with saying "F*CK YOU!" to people is that they are free to respond in kind.
