Liz Phair to Perform "Exile In Guyville" at the Fillmore

Hmm. This is just about the most exciting thing to happen in San Francisco. Ever. Or at least, it will be. See: Liz Phair will play a few shows this summer, featuring her crooning (or croaking, depending on your opinion of her) the entirety of her brilliant debut album Exile in Guyville (1993) -- an epic "song-by-song reply to the Rolling Stones' 1972 album 'Exile on Main Street,'" which at the time was considered somewhat scandalously slutty for her frank depiction of humping.

And SF Weekly has word that she will be heading to the Fillmore on June 23. Yay!

Tickets go on sale Saturday, 6/1. (Or "6' 1" -- heh.)

THIS IS TOOO FRIGGING EXCITING!!

but beige IS exciting. in fact, i have a swatch book called 101 Shades of White. highly recommend. A+++

wow. 1993. irrelevent since then. coming back to milk the old cow.

she's giving the people what they want, i guess, and they don't want anything else she's produced in the last 15 years. her makeover didn't take. avril lavigne is laughing.

Actually, I like her more recent pop-oriented material much better than that post-feminist trying-so-hard-to-be-edgy breathy rock chick material. But I guess baby needs new shoes or something.

i just can't believe the chance to use "blowjob queen" as a tag was ignored.
