While so much is said about the zaniness that is the Bay To Breakers race, so little gets mentioned of the winners of the race famous for its nude runners. John Kipsang Korir, a 32-year-old Kenyan runner, won the in Men's Elite category,

Lineth Chepkurui, a 20-year-old Kenyan runner NOT pictured above, won in the Women's Elite category. Both of the winners were born in Bomet. So... there you have it.

More images of this past weekend's B2B to come.

Oh the B2B is so ... B&T.

Now that there is one nicely shaped body.

(applause)

I love all of the guy's faces on the right. #257 is classic.

Do you think those girls would have done this, if they new they were going to be front page news on SFist.com?

oh...i mean knew, not new. Sorry.

I'd say being an attention whore is the number one reason a person would run nude, so I'm guessing being front and center on sfist is just the cherry on top for these two.

Most of the nudity seemed to be from the 50+ age set ... My theory is that if you don't have to worry about a future job interview because you're already retired, you're a lot more apt to take part in the birthday suit parade and could care less who takes photos, etc..

@ katerose26

Labelling a good-humored naked female athlete a whore is dangerously close to the kind of social conservatism that we don't tolerate around these parts.

Drunken silly fun is so suburban

I understand people's complaints about public urination and the trash and what-not, but I don't get the snobbishness about this event.

It was chilly. There was ... shrinkage.

This must have been near the start. I didn't see the naked ones in the picture cross the finish but I did notice the Autodesk centipede - they were the first centipede to cross and finished in something like 45 or 50 minutes. Very impressive.

@ Generic

katerose said "attention whore," not "whore." An "attention whore" is someone, male or female, who does calculated things to get attention from others. Nothing to do with social conservatism.

wsanders - actually, the ASICS Aggies Men centipede crossed the finish line first at 38:05.

Sometimes writing press releases is fun.

Either way - "whore" or "attention whore", it's just a way to belittle someone who is having a little harmless fun in a way that the prudes wouldn't approve of.

@orangedrink - you're right! Looks like the Autodesk guys finished right behind them at 38:42. I guess their outfits really stood out in the crowd. The ASICS guys must have been wearing cammo or something. I was up on a scissorlift at the finish line looking for first aid worthy runners. As far as I know, no serious medical problems this year.

@ Angrybat

I am aware of the distinction and of the connotation. That's why I specifically chose the words "dangerously close".

The comment was right up to the line, without crossing it.

To single out one woman (in the context of that photo) as a "publicity whore" in what's literally a parade of exhibitionists, raises my eyebrow. And not in a good way.

Last night at 10:15 there was an old naked guy painted in gold still walking around town. I have no idea if he had done B2B earlier or if that was his normal attire for a Sunday stroll. I didn't want to ask. His penis scared me.

Running topless? My breasts hurt just looking at that picture.

Being outside nude in that weather? These people have some serious gonads... or are missing the parts of their brains that tell them that it's ludicrously cold outside.

If you are going to run nude, please get a bikini wax.

If you are going to run nude and paint yourself red, please get a bikini wax so it doesn't look like you have menstrual blood all over your pubes.

ick.

Gosh, I would have gladly lent her my support.....
