  • Also, still no sign of torch. SFPD motorcycles are seen zipping up Third and Second Streets.
  • "No reports of serious violence," declares Barbara Rodgers of CBS 5.
  • Eerie sensation of local on-air talent far too close to SFist HQ right now. There is a presence in this neighborhood.
  • British PM Gordon Brown boycotts opening ceremonies; Bush still debating similar boycott.
  • Barbara Rogers calls bullshit on current torch run path on King Street. Wonders if it might be happening somewhere else. That would be awesome.
  • Visible torch flame seen at McCovey Cove!

  • According to CBS Blogs' Brittney Gilbert "torch will NOT going to pier 39, Fisherman's wharf. [The torch] will end at Sansome and Embarc. EVERYONE go Ferry and South."
  • An SFist source at Embarcadero and Bryant just wrote to us claiming that the "torch bus [allegedly!] ran over people. No injuries per SFPD. Tibetans sitting in front of bus now."
  • Motorcade stopped at Bush/Van Ness. First runner might "hit the street there." Will everyone miss it, save for Gavin's friends and associates? How sad. But kind of funny too.
  • Much like today's relay, SFist has been a bit chaotic with updates, so we've moved our updates here.
