Muni's Guide to the Weekend: The Chinese New Year Isn't Done With You Yet
Good grief, this Chinese New Year business sure does go on for a long time. This weekend, it's a New Year Parade and a New Year Community Fair that'll be tying up traffic. A ton of major east-west lines will be affected on Saturday afternoon -- the 5, the 71, the 38, the F, the 1, and so on.
Also causing trouble: the weather. Muni can barely keep its head above water when it's dry, so the predicted storm this weekend will only make things worse. Plan your trips carefully, or better yet, curl up at home with a mug of cocoa and a copy of Last Wolf Standing.

The Parade will commence at 5:30 p.m. from Market & 2nd and proceed
along the following streets Market, Geary, Powell, Post, Kearny,

Good grief, it's February and this Black History Month business sure does go on for a long time. And it's a leap year which adds one more day! What's up with the cultural insensitivity people?
Yeah, Black History Month, that's another one. The Chinese and the Blacks sure know how to draw out a party.
...and Christian children take TWO WEEKS OFF from school for Christmas. Have you tried going to Union Square during the last two weeks of December? It's insane!
