Behold: Last Night's Yelp Day Party

By Dianne de Guzman
Although it took awhile, we've finally recovered from the Yelp holiday extravaganza at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. As to be expected Yelpers know how to throw a party! There was an open bar, plenty of food to go around and lots of dancers, hula hoopers (hula hoopists?) and girls running around in Yelp underwear.
More pictures after the jump.

While the line for the party was deceivingly long (it wrapped around the corner towards SFMOMA), it only took 30 minutes to get inside. Whilst in line, however, everyone was treated to a performance by the HoopGirl Allstars, complete with LED hula hoops. Whoa. Hula hooping was never this involved when we used to do it in elementary school. (Image credit: Guri S.)

The dancefloor was wild and packed, with everyone dancing to hip hop, pop, 80s and your occasional rock song. There was a table dancer, a dancing table (notice the legs beneath the table) and strangely a man wearing a full-body green lycra, skintight suit. Unfortch, he was wearing jeans and we didn't get a pic. Sorry.

All in all, a good time was had by everyone. Guests were able to go home with a gift tote bag, filled with coupons for local businesses (Centerfolds, Showgirls we never knew how generous you were! Thanks for the discounts!). Sigh. We need to go rest now. We're a little more tired than we thought.
