MST3K Returns: Cinematic Titanic!

bosslogo_sm.jpg

Gasp! Eeps! [faint]

Get this: the original cast of MST3K -- Trace Beaulieu, J. Elvis Weinstein, Frank Conniff, Mary Jo Pehl, and of course, Joel Hodgson -- returns with Cinematic Titanic. According to Hodgson, he's decided "to do a new project that is strong enough for our die-hard audience, and also gentle and easy to swallow for those that are new to movie riffing."

Currently in the dreaded post-limbo area known as preproduction, you can sign up newsletter to get to get up-to-the-second info on it. But it seems that they've already got "the rights to 12 movies, and will be releasing one a month starting in December for DVD purchase or download," or so we hear.

Even better news? Cinematic Titanic’s first live show and world premiere will happen right here in San Francisco, starting in December. But the bad news? This live show is a closed event for I.L.M/Lucasfilm employees and guest-only VIPS. But it looks like there might be some wiggle room come December, so...again, sign up for the newsletter to find out more. (Okay, it's offline at the moment due to total overwhelmingness, but keep trying, folks!)

Great news! If it's 1/10 as awesome as "Manos" then I'm all over it.
