Behold: Life-Size Mouse Trap

mousetrap.jpg

Remember this game? Well, we don't remember the game's competitive aspects -- does anyone? -- but we remember setting up its trap over and over and over until it finally broke. And over at Laughing Squid, Scott Beale caught a life-sized version of the game at the Maker Faire 2007. (Yes, any fair ending with an "e" is cause for great alarm, but this Mouse Trap overrides that fear.)

I remember reading about the life-sized Mouse Trap when it was at the Faire back in MAY.

What inspired you to post about it today (in September), Brock? Has it been set up anywhere else? I'd love to see it, since I didn't have the enthusiasm back then for taking the slow & clunky weekend Caltrain to San Mateo that one time the slow & clunky (but certainly way cooler) life sized Mouse Trap was on display to the public.

This was at burning man in 2001 (I think). It works! Good fun if you can see it set up somewhere.

ooh, i wish they had a video of this running!
