SFist Photo: Jake Shimabukuro Plays Yerba Buena

It's hard to believe that you can get such a big sound from such a small instrument.

Is the tiny ukulele having a big resurgence? Looks that way. Yerba Buena Gardens today hosted a well-attended ukulele festival featuring that Jimi Hendrix of the Ukulele, Jake Shimabukuro. Who else was there today? What did it sound like? See you after the jump.

It sounded a little like this, this and this. Dude gets into it. He's more popular on the Internet now than the dramatic chipmunk AND sensitive blogger girl.
