18th Street/Guerrero Fire Hydrant/Geyser Pics

Some choice pictures of the fire hydrant at 18th Street and Guerrero that popped a little before 4 p.m. this afternoon. Word on Guerrero was that someone's car brakes gave out, causing them to mow down the innocent hydrant. And, please, remain calm: no foodies were injured.

Quite beautiful, really. Almost like being at Yellowstone, minus the annoying camping part.

Check it out:

A big thanks to Evan for sending the pics and update our way!

well technically the car did break right?

At least someone got the windows clean. :)

My favorite of this type of thing was the corner of Lombard & Divis a year or so ago.... guy in a convertible, hits the hydrant & ends up in the wall of Wallgreens.... hydrant fills the car with water.... so funny!
