Is anyone else's power going out every five to ten minutes today? Annoying. So far we have reports from One Market, Harrison/Fourth Street, UCSF Mission/Bay, parts of the Financial District -- the general downtown/SOMA area. What's more, we (and, most likely, you) have already lost several documents. Jesus Christ, make it stop.
Really now.
UPDATE: sites like Craigslist, Live Journal (ONTD!), VOX, and Yelp are temporarily down due to either thes power outages or punchy alcoholism -- linking them seems futile at the moment -- claim several of our dear readers. Thanks for the info, guys!
"30-50k" are sans electricity in San Francisco, and PG&E is all, "Wha? Huh?" Read about it here.
UPDATE II: Power restored. Aforementioned sites went down, it seems, due to one guy's charmingly drunk behavior. (Also, hee!)

The power's gone out in my office @ 2nd & Brannan 4 times this afternoon. Sheesh!
Power went out for a few minutes this afternoon while eating at Naan & Curry in North Beach.
LiveJournal (based in SF) is down -- wonder if that's related.

Word on the street (ok, a street) is that Fruit of the Loom is shooting a commercial in the vicinity and has managed to do something terrible to our grid in the process. Shrug.
And apparently having every chronophage website I frequent be headquartered in FiDi is less cool than I had previously thought.

555 Market is getting the same. 12 or so emergency response vehicles have passed on Market heading east.The Fountain next to our office (next to Chipotle) is smoking. Our elevators are out.

There was an SFFD response to 425 Market about 1420, about 6 engines or so. Nothing visible. The FF's were staged outside waiting. Power appears to be on in the building.
Nothing amiss here at Sansome and Bush.
As far as I know, many of the sites listed that are down (craigslist, Live Journal, Yelp) are hosted at 365 Main Street.
OTOH, my company has equipment there (and across the way at 360 Spear) and all of our power circuits stayed up. Anyone with knowledge of that facility know which rooms are having problems? My stuff is in colo 2.

Maritime Building at Front and Clay has had 4 or 5 outages. I have lost the same document twice and I just got a call from a man named Joaquin. He asked me if my refrigerator is running.
Five outages so far at my bldg. at Hawthorne and Howard.
yep, went out five times i think here at montgomery and clay. building management came on the speakers and said that pg&e said this would happen for the next two hours. nothing's happened since, though.
No power in Colo 4 in 365 Main. Yelp, Livejournal, Typepad, Craigslist, Vox, Hi5, and Technorati all got hit bad.
Well, sucks to be 365 Main. Sheesh, craigslist down? Somebody's getting a refund.

Well, in a related story, with Craigslist down, I've finally done some work for the first time this week.
One Maritime here... we have had the power go out six times this afternoon. We have been told PG&E is having problems.
This is really giving my earthquake preparedness training a nice workout... thank gawd I brought a book to work.

I was in one of the upper floors of 425 California when the power went out.... four times. Instead of waiting for the one & only elevator working, I took the stairs down. Gosh, that's a long haul. Glad it was all downhill.
Even though I heard all the sirens outside, there were no firetrucks parked there when I got to the ground floor, tho.
Yelp is down! And just as when I was going to post my scathing review of a local restaurant. I smell a conspiracy.

I was at 465 California all day and our power never once went out. I did hear a lot more sirens going down California than usual, though.
