Friend of SFist, Burritophile's Cate, alerted us to this amusing error over on sfgate's weather page. (Well, either an error or someone over there is pretty funny!)
Stay out of Concord, people. Unless you want a hell of a tan.

Heh. I worked a fireworks show over in Pleasant Hill on Wednesday. It certainly felt that hot while we were building the show.
Funny. I was out there during the last heatwave and it definitely felt that hot. People were, like, spontaneously combusting when they walked out of the BART station.
It's easy enough to see how it happened: "Return 9999 if the data's not there, and hope the person getting that number was smart enough to do an if x == 9999 then print 'N/A'"
The real question is: Why not use 999 instead of 9999?
Come friendly bombs and fall on Concord.
