Noise Pop Interview: Bart Davenport of Honeycut

Only a couple of hours until the weekend and you still don’t have plans? We’re starting to resent you always mooching plans off us, but occasionally we’re so excited about something that don’t even mind sharing it with you. Like tomorrow night. Honeycut is playing a Noise Pop show at Mezzanine. Honeycut is one of those bands that you’ll bragging about hearing first a few years from now (and no, SFist doesn’t even dare hope you’ll remember to thank us then). In addition to making great music, Honeycut’s Bart Davenport is a Berkeley native. To SFist's ever lasting jealousy he's actually had a missed encounter posted about him. Bring on the SFist interview!!

Lamest request from a crowd?
We've only had lame requests from single persons, not crowds. Crowds usually know what's up. They get together and ask for things that are utterly reasonable. But if the day should come when they demand that I "battle Jelly Donut!", well, I might have to decline.
Any advice for aspiring musicians in the Bay Area?
Quit your day jobs. Go into debt. Its only money. Who needs food and shelter, when you have the gift of music?
