Kevin Laue is the star center for the Amador Valley High School basketball and a junior. He also has only one hand. Due to complications during pregnancy, his left arm ends right above the elbow, but none of this has stopped him from leading his team to a 4-2 record. Kevin can do all of the normal things a basketball player can do-- shoot free throws (he nailed two with ten seconds left to help his team win), pass, hit three pointers-- and do them as well as anyone he's playing against, if not better. He's even getting shout outs on message boards for his play. Of course, it helps that he's 6' 10" and weighs around 215. Also, as a teammate put it, "his (right) hand is as big as two normal hands." It also helps that he's huge for a high school basketball player. But as anyone who ever tried to play a little basketball knows, just because you're big doesn't mean your any good. Kevin is good.
See, we told you it was a nice story.
