Bay Blogger Thursday

Today is a stressful day for this SFist, made more stressful still by the prospect of getting to North Beach from the Mission in this nasty-a** weather. And then home. On Muni. Hell, we're considering walking to the BART and then walking all the way to Washington Square Park, in the rain, rather than get on the 9 and then the 15. For some reason, walking in the rain doesn't seem as bad as waiting in the rain.

SFist has been pretty clear that we wholeheartedly support public transportation, especially clean, fast and efficient public transportation. Which is something that Muni doesn't always (ever?) provide. Think of all the problems that would be solved if San Francisco had better public transit -- less smog, more parking, fewer traffic jams. That's right, a decent bus system would actually make everyone happier, straphangers and drivers alike.

So it's with no surprise that yet another Muni-hatin' blog has joined the scene, Municide. Just two posts old, we're pretty sure they won't lack for material to write about. The mission of the blog is summed up thusly: "[T]his blog isn’t for constructive criticism that the good old folks over at Muni can use to make Muni better. We all know it’s too late for that. All we’re going to do is bitch." Amen.
