Interview: Bigfoot
Phenomenologists have been looking in all the wrong places. Bigfoot lives in San Francisco, not in the frozen Canadian north. This news will come as no surprise to city dwellers, who have seen Bigfoot’s art for years. Walk down alleys in the Mission, especially around 16th and Guerrero, and you’ll see plenty of Bigfoot’s paintings.
Graffiti art is an integral part of the San Francisco scene. Among artists you’ve probably noticed around the city, Bigfoot’s art stands out due to the consistency of his themes and characters (Bigfoot!). Street art’s appeal is tied up with its accessibility and mysteriousness. Nothing beats discovering new art where there was none the night before. SFist is loathe to take away any of the mystique around any artist who uses public spaces as their canvas, but we do think you should check out what Bigfoot has to say about San Francisco and life in general.
